Horizontal
Packaging Machinery

The range of horizontal PFM flowrappers is specifically designed to meet any need of flexible packaging for food and non-food applications.

Horizontal flow wrap transverse sealing systems: technical differences and selection criteria

PFM horizontal flow wrappers use three distinct transverse (end seal) sealing systems, each engineered for specific production requirements: line speed, film type, and product characteristics.

rotary sealing

Rotary end seal

High-speed continuous motion

Rotary jaws operate in continuous motion without stopping the film web. Suited for high-speed lines using standard heat-sealable films. Delivers consistent sealing performance on regular, uniform products while maximizing throughput.

long dwell sealing

Long Dwell and Box Motion end seal

Extended dwell time for hermetic seals

Long Dwell increases jaw-to-film contact time during transverse sealing while maintaining line speed. The preferred system for high-barrier films, multilayer laminates, or materials requiring longer heat transfer to achieve hermetic seals. Box Motion replicates the product’s forward motion during sealing, eliminating mechanical stress on the package: ideal for fragile, irregular, or height-variable products.

special applications

Special applications

Functional packaging and distinctive pack formats

Systems engineered beyond standard pillow-pack flow wrapping: structural formats, reclosable packs, MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) configurations, or sector-specific solutions for dairy, bakery, and fresh food. Packaging becomes integral to product functionality and shelf differentiation.

Stand-Up
Packaging Solutions

HFFS and VFFS systems for producing doy pack and stand-up bags. The PFM range includes D-Series, F-Series, VFFS machines, multihead weighers and volumetric or auger dosing systems.
