Automatic weighing and packaging line for individually wrapped biscuits, designed to combine three different flavours in the same pack.
The system integrates 12 vibrating hoppers, product elevating and feeding systems, four MBP 24C2 DMA multihead weighers and an R700 VFFS vertical packaging machine.
The solution manages feeding, mixing, dosing and packaging according to preset recipes, keeping the products separate until the weighing stage.
Automatic infeed: three flavours handled separately
The line is designed to feed four multihead weighers, each with three different types of biscuits.
The system includes 12 vibrating hoppers in AISI 304 stainless steel, combined with dedicated belt elevators.
Each group of three hoppers (each containing a different product variety) feeds one of the four weighers.
This configuration handles several flavours at the same time, while controlling the quantities used to prepare each mix.
MBP 24C2 DMA multihead weighing: recipe-balanced mixes
Dosing is performed by four MBP 24C2 DMA multihead weighers in a 45-degree configuration.
The weighers receive the three biscuit varieties, handle pre-dosing and create the mix in the proportions set by the recipe.
The system controls pack composition, dosing the different product types according to the set parameters.
For the customer, the advantage is the ability to produce assorted packs with a defined composition, automating mixing and weighing operations.
Gentle biscuit handling with bucket conveyors
After weighing, the biscuit mixes are discharged into bucket conveyors, which transfer the product to the R700 vertical packaging machine; the system is designed to handle fragile products, limiting impacts during conveying.
R700 VFFS vertical packaging: pillow bags with biscuit mix
The final stage is performed by the MBP R700 vertical packaging machine, which produces pillow bags containing the biscuit mix.
The dosed product is transferred to the machine, which forms, fills and seals the packs.
The finished bags are then discharged to the downstream stages of the line.
The integration of multihead weighing and vertical packaging automates the process, from feeding the individual flavours to producing the assorted packs.
This application meets a specific need: creating biscuit mixes with a controlled composition, automating feeding, weighing and packaging.
