The feeding system, a "rotary slugs feeding system for on-edge biscuits called TAGADA", has been patented by SPS Italiana Pack Systems (PFM Group). It is can feed up-to 180 slugs/min. onto the infeed conveyor of the MODULO horizontal pillow pack wrapper.

The system guarantees a very high efficiency and operational reliability. The TAGADA feeder receives the slugs from the cross indexing conveyor, that can be fed by the SPS portioning system for on-edge biscuits, and it transfers them by a customized gripping system that, by means of a rotary motion, follows the infeed conveyor pushers and, with perfect timing, it inserts the slugs onto the infeed conveyor. The TAGADA feeder follows a smooth and continuous movement, without any intermittent motion or sudden change of direction, which may damage the biscuits. The TAGADA feeder treats your products with the utmost delicacy and precision.
