PFM SPA, the well-known Company located in the province of Vicenza and producer of flexible film packaging machines, has succeeded in acquiring a new industrial facility.
Shortly after the purchase of the Bergamo firm BG PACK SPA, MBP Srl of Castiglione delle Stiviere – in the Province of Mantua - is joining the PFM group.
MBP is specialised in the design and production of multi-head and linear weighing machines and form-fill-seal type vertical packaging machines; their twenty years of experience in the sector has permitted the firm to reach a good level of technology, which will be increased along with their range of products, thanks to a programme of important investments planned by PFM.
Over the short term, the commercial strategy planned for the new acquisition will allow PFM to forecast the attainment of a good level of internationalisation of the MBP trademark, which is today known primarily in Italy and in several other European Countries.
The acquisition is part of a plan to strengthen and re-launch the range of vertical packagers, which is now completed with a line of multi-head weighing machines.
With this operation, PFM foresees reaching overall invoicing of 40.000.000 euros for the group within the end of 2002.
