April 2002. PFM Spa obtains UNI EN ISO 9001-2000 certification (also called Vision 2000) for its Italian central head office in Torrebelvicino (VI).
The company manufactures packaging machines and automatic packaging lines for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries.

The certification, issued by DNV, one of the most highly reputed certifying boards in the world, covers the sale, designing and production of packaging machines and the provision of after sales service and spare parts.

For PFM, being certified means being able to offer guarantees of high quality as far as manufacturing, the choice of materials and internal capability of organising the work and developing and carrying out improvements are concerned.
Achieving certification has meant for PFM a commitment lasting two years aimed at putting in place an effective system of internal re-organisation, distribution of information, duties and responsibilities in the company: all the management at all levels are constantly updated and informed about the objectives to be reached so that they are able to reassign duties, improve the effectiveness of their operations and procedures and achieve the desired results.

Relations with clients, suppliers, the quality of design and manufacture, internal organisation and punctuality in providing after sales services and spare parts are constantly checked by the company by means of a data collection and complaints management system, the purpose of which is to check the quality of all the company's major functions.
In this way the company is constantly under observation and driven towards further improvements and investigations of any new or unsolved problems.

This important result confirms our attention ever-drawn towards continuously improving our products and satisfying our customers, which goes to join the other prestigious acknowledgements received by the PFM Group in the last few years: packaging Oscar in 1997 and 1999 awarded to BG PACK (a company in Bergamo purchased by PFM in 2001) and Certificate of Merit for Customer Service awarded to PFM Ltd by PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association), a British organisation representing the best companies in the packaging sector.
