PFM's objective over the last few years has been oriented towards the development and production of increasingly "intelligent" lines, which perform all of the various phases in the packaging process.
The design concept that brought about the realisation of a series of installations is the total and complete identification of the line, with the specific requirements of the client, without forgetting state of the art technology and a high level of productive competitiveness features that have made PFM famous.
The automatic packaging lines were originally created for oven products, such as pastry snacks, biscuits and bread, but they can also be utilised for other types of products.
Bakery and similar products require special processing and above all, special timing.
The success of the final phase, packaging, depends on the speed with which the products reach the packaging line.
It is necessary to follow the different phases of production, therefore, to collect the product immediately upon exit from the oven or cooling tunnel. For this reason, PFM has designed complete custom built lines according to the different requirements. In any case, the study of lines is also applicable to different merchandising sectors besides bakery products.

• The possibility to adjust the speed of packaging according to production increases or reductions

PFM has responded to these requirements with complete packaging lines and the company's research and development efforts have been concentrated in this direction.
The technology developed for automatic lines must be state

of the art, both from the mechanical and electronic points of view: in fact, an extremely high level of specialisation is required to produce lines that follow the various phases of the productive process in total and perfect synchronisation.
The Long Dwell High Speed Sealing System, applicable to various machine models, 90° and in line feed systems, acceleration, alignment, accumulation, product transfer and loading stations are just a few of the "design projects" that have been dedicated.
Production management systems are completely centralised and automatic, for a simple and rapid utilisation of the line.
Automatic lines are all custom built and adapted to specific product characteristics and production requirements.
Additionally, simple modifications may be made to "reactualise" a line and modify it according to new requirements.
Each line is equipped with a series of accessories that allow the complete autonomy of the line in all of its functional processes.
As far as marketing is concerned, the orientation of the firm towards "Open & Reclose"packaging and therefore ergonomic and reclosable packages, has also been applied in the realisation of new lines, to satisfy the consumers requirements in connection with information, as well as the producer’s need to have an ample printing surface an control over the different phases.
